Advanced Class

You will spend two days of intensive study that will prepare you to use any electronic cutter to create beautiful one-of-a-kind cakes. The class will go beyond what you learn in the Creative Designs instructional DVDs or in the Basic class.

You will learn how to make the gum paste that works very well for this technique and use a pasta machine to roll it out to the correct thickness.

Each student will be provided with a computer and cutting machine to use in class. You will learn how to use Make the Cut and some additional programs to develop your own designs, clean up designs, and modify existing designs for easy cutting. You will learn how to use an edible image printer to print on gum paste for even more design possibilities.

This is a hands-on class and you will learn techniques that will enable you to use several different cutting machines including the Silhouette (Linda's preferred machine), Cricut Cake, Cricut Expression, Cricut Create, Gazelle, and Wishblade.

This class will really get you set to use this patent-pending cake decorating method on cakes for any occasion, from whimsical birthday or party cakes to elegant wedding cakes. You will not cover a dummy cake with fondant, slap on a few pre-set designs and call it a day! Don't worry if you feel that you are not computer literate. This class is for everyone and we take you through each process, step by step. No one will be left behind!
