Creative Designs Classes

My name is Linda McClure and I am the inventor/developer of the Creative Designs Method of cake decorating. I developed the method of using electronic paper cutters to cut gum paste. The machine I first used was the Cricut Expressions by Provo Craft, but since then I have discovered that this method can be used by all the electronic paper cutting machines.

 When I first discovered this great cake decorating technique I did an intense search on the internet looking for information. I did not see any cakes that looked like they were decorated with gum paste cut  with an electronic cutter. I perfected the technique and used what I had learned to decorate many of my cakes. These cakes were put on my web site and were viewed by many people. Soon, people were asking me how I got the great designs on my cakes. I decided to share this technique and the easiest way to do that was to make an instructional DVD. The first DVD in the Creative Designs series was "Creative Designs" followed by "Creative Designs: Cakes for Children" and "Creative Designs: Damask Wedding Cakes". Each DVD builds on the techniques taught in the previous DVD. I also made "Start to Finish" to help a novice cake decorator bake the perfect cake.

There has been a great deal of interest in this method of cake decorating. You can learn so much more by attending one of my classes than sitting and watching someone do an all day demo. I was a teacher before I became a cake decorator so I understand how to teach. I want those who take my class to leave with a greater understanding and appreciation of this method.
